Batteries Release was founded on board the U.S.S. George Washington, CVN-73, by six active duty sailors. The name was derived from the command to fire or release the batteries, from the Captain of Naval vessels during live firing exercises.
The diversity in the musical backgrounds of all the members gives Batteries Release a unique range of genres. Ranging from Rock to Heavy Metal and Blues to Power Ballads.
With an already large and growing fan base, Batteries Release is in the process of finishing their much-anticipated debut CD, which is to date untitled. The target time for the release of their 12-14 track CD is mid to late October and the band is currently promoting the release through various mediums including myspace.com, and The Underworld Radio Show. Once completed the CD will be marketed through radio stations and be available for sale at various locations with the majority online through myspace.com and cdbaby.com.
