Dan Junk

Dan was given his first guitar at age 14. That gift was the beginning of his career as a musician.

He began playing in clubs, as a lead guitarist, at age 19. He continued his love for music by learning how to play other instruments. First the sax, then flute, bass guitar, mandolin, dobro, fiddle and keyboards.

Dan was one of the founding members of the local country band, Southern Thunder, that enjoyed a local following for over ten years.

Dan has played a variety of music with various bands, performing in Maryland, Virginia, South Carolina and in many cities in Florida. He was the lead guitarist for a band that opened for Charlie Pride in Maryland, other gigs included festivals in various states, weddings and private parties.

Dan has also worked with other musicians on their recording projects.

“Which Way” is his first solo recording project. He played all the instruments with exception of the drums, wrote the music and lyrics and did all of the arranging on this project.

He did the recording at his studio in Florida and teamed up with Fred Migliore to produce this project at F.M. Odyssey’s studio in Merritt Island, Florida.

He moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina during May of 2006, joined the Carolina Songwriters group. A showcase band is in the works for future projects.

Dan's latest cd, “Along For The Ride”, is an all instrumental modern rock, jazz flare project. Unlike his first cd this one features
all guitar work, with no wind instruments, taking him in a different musical direction. He just wanted this project to sound different. The electric guitar is his main instrument so he wanted to feature it a little more on this music collection.
