INVAIN band started in 2004 in an anonymous rehearsing studio in the province of Padua: Ale and Pierpa both played in two different groups, while Chris played by himself just to keep in shape…Then, month after month, listening to one another during rehearsals unleashed among the three a powerful musical attraction that ended up with the birth of INVAIN. The musical genre of INVAIN is hard to label. It has been in turn defined as grunge-metal, alternative-rock, as well as stoner…yet, for INVAIN's members, rock is good enough… Ale creates skillful bass grooves and blends his voice with the music. He creates a different melodic vocal harmony that instinctively penetrates in the others' mind, though his melodic line is always eager to trouble this introspective journey with a grunge drive. Ale is backed up by Pierpa's mighty guitar, always behind the voice as if they were one single entity in a blast of cross-over grooves. Chris moves swiftly in tune with them all and, as he breaks out of metronomic drums, his supple sticks provide an ultimate fusion of the four instruments, now turned into a single one
