I don't wanna be famous, says Smoove, I do this for the love of the game and to provide for the people around me. For sometime now the 22 year old, West Texas rapper L Smoove has been on the scene. His first couple releases (GOL Mixtape VOL 1-3) as an independent artist did decent numbers due to small promotionand no label backing, but it got him something more than that, respect. I've lived alot of places and met alot of folks, and everywhere I go, niggas respect my hustle and my flow . After fallouts with a few friends and some close calls to stardom, L is now the leader of his own movement. Musik Man Ent. was really just something that me and the homie Jon Doe came up with as a way to put out my own music, but when I met up with Rich it became an all out label, and that was something that blows my mind today. Meeting back up with Rich was a blessing, and the best thing to happen to my career. The partnership that the two have formed is something incredible. Both being from Abilene, Tx, they have know of eachother for a while. It was crazy how we always met back up, I use to see dude around everywhere, we went to college together our frehmen year at Angelo State University and I always saw him when I went back home. He happened to be one of the only people that believed in me and my vision. This summer, Musik Man Ent. will release their first project off the label, the highly anticipated C.A.S.H Mixtape Vol 1. Then at the top of next year, come back and release L's debut album Almost Famous. I named my album that because it sums my career up pretty good. I've been through it all from winning talent shows with Lu ( Lucious Sloan, the other half of his crew DBF) to touring and almost having a deal like a year and a half a ago. After all of this,why would one still be motivated to make good music and continue on to pursue a dream? Maybe it's the money or maybe the love and passion that a person can have for something, but whatever it is, this kid definetly has it , and is not taking no for an answer. I believe that it is my time and nobody can tell me different.
