PLUG are a three piece Canberra based band who have been performing clever, creative original music for local and interstate audiences since 2002. Influenced by classical training and an eclectic appreciation of music ranging from Bach to Cage, from Cash to Cave and from the Clash to the Sugarcubes Singer/Songwriter and insomniac George sits up every night trying to write one perfect song. She is saved constantly from the impossibility of this task by her bandmates, Chelle and Leon, whose melodic basslines, soaring viola solos, and creative drumming complement her powerful vocals, resulting in great songs. Having reached the tender but eager age of four, PLUG have performed as headline and support act at independent gigs, in competitions, and in open days, birthdays and art shows at the ANU bar, UC bar, Pot Belly, Toast, Transit bar (formerly the Church bar), and PJ O’Reilly’s, and regularly appear at the Phoenix Bootleg Sessions.
