Style: Alternative Electric/Acoustic Americana Rock
A victim of a majorly dysfunctional family, Randy Gibson found music to be his safest outlet for his pent up anger and frustration brought on by the abusive men and apathetic woman in his life. He bought some music equipment and started his first band, “ Blue Sage”, in Redding, Ca. in 1980. He paid many dues and took a lot of hard knocks playing in bands and gigging in any place he could. He eventually discovers his calling as a power vocalist, Being recognized for his soulful voice and heart felt lyrics, he played in rock bands like The Victor, 163, Big Daddy’s Flashlight, Girth, and Krysis, where he met Matt & Tracy Longstreth. Tracy, father of young Matt Longstreth, Produced his first record, Krysis, ”Bad Man”. Little did he know there was a future with Matt that would lead him to the great Ronnie King, writer, producer and performer. Now Randy heads the powerful, relevant rock project known as Randy Gibson. His new release, Randy Gibson Unhinged stands to be one of his most provocative works. Diving in to the devastating effects of neglect and abuse on a child an dhow it manifests it's self in the adult relationship in I'll Roll In It to, sticking the proverbial finger into the face of our system in, “ Me To Be. My lesson in life is, to live life to the fullest without hurting yourself or others. Says Randy. I'm writing and playing songs about the human condition. Don't miss this one!
