How do the Top 40 Charts work? (Here’s a hint)
The big question that we always get asked is “how do your charts work?”
Well we’ve actually developed our own secret formula. You could even think of it as our special sauce.
After extensive testing we found our formula to produce near perfect results. Now I know what you’re thinking, “how come all of the artists at the top of the charts have multiple spots.”
The answer’s simple, they figured out the single largest factor… The more votes the better you rank on the charts.
That doesn’t mean that they have all their friends ranking them a 10, it means that they put a link to their soundx page and told people to check out their music.
Here’s an example, if an artist has a song rated 20 times, and the average vote is a 6, that song will rank better than almost everyother song that has less than 20 votes.
Tell your friends to vote for your tracks. Good or bad votes, it doesn’t matter.
